everytime that i cross Gonzales' path in paris, be it birthday goûters, or happy diners i feel a bit overwhelmed by the man's impressive stature. also when i saw solo piano in concert in bordeaux that one time i was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer talent exuding from this almost giant. fucking awesome i told my parents and they thereby went to see him play the piano in Villeneuve Les Maguelone : fucking brilliant they said. something to be thankful for. Gonzales' dad apparently think he's sold out with his new album (Soft Power // april 7th) but when i listen to this song my head fills with tons of happy thoughts including : Pee Wee Herman (of course...), Oskar Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, skipping around my friends at the Botanic Gardens (nearby main pond that's our spot) running on a desert beach in British Columbia ? something to be thankful for.

Gonzales - Working Together

Primary 1 : über talented young 20something producer, hailing from UK and who, shockingly surprising, got ahead of distortions to do his own thing. which is, his own thing, pretty awesome and consistent and, well, i'm excited. Erol & Dan, in charge at Phantasy, are hugely excited as well (as they should be), i can tell, holmes. The Shoes : il faut bien gagner sa vie, c'est pourquoi The Shoes, in addition with spoiling us with original music that make ears bleed (of happiness) keep on working on remixes which have nothing to envy from neighboors Yuksek or Brodinski (Reims Geniuses' mobile disco : feb 1st Point FMR, feb 2nd 4 Sans). this remix for Hold Me Down (out jan 28th support, buy it) is the most perfect point in case.
