Fluokids- Homogenising DJ Sets since 2005!

pic: dirty dirty dancing

** Lazy / pretentious post alert!

It's becoming a bit habitual to enter a club early on these days, and half of the 'warm-up' DJ's set has Fluokids in brackets beside the MP3. It could be quite annoying I suppose, but that's what we're here for, to share our music and not stockpile it like some precious trinkets for our own enjoyment or feeling of superiority... I should be putting a new mix together, but I don't have the time, so the moment has arrived to share some of the tracks I have been sitting on for a while.

Like all good DJ sets, you have some familiar remixes of the tunes du jour:

CSS- Alala (Princess Superstar Remix)

Goose- Bring It On (Tronik Youth Edit)

Something a little whimsical:

Herbert- Movin' Like A Train (Smith N Hack Remix)

A bit of nostalgia:

Depeche Mode- just Can't Get Enough (Dirty South Mix)

A couple of out and out bangers:

Radioslave- Secret Base

D.I.M- Sysiphos

Something made by a couple of 16 year old boys, just for the sake of it:

Cassius- Toop Toop (Pedro and Panama Remix)

And some proper cheese... And why not?

La Chomba- Chacarron

Your dancefloor should now look like this x 500:

people should just be professional djs with every song on vinyl and/or paid-for 320k mp3s banging on the main stage - ONLY. obviously. you've been sitting on these tunes? ahh... they went stale. (+turbo23 will probably rape you for sysiphos.)

How about actually writing something about these? Rather than just post a load of tunes for people to steal.

Your posts are as formulaic as your dj sets

casper, as the only warm up dj using mp3s THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS WAS POSTED, i should be offended. see it as some sort of tribute.

christ your lucky your pretty.
and yes, alot of our mp3s were lifted from fluokids. i concede defeat.

Hugh, i wasn't there for your set mate, sorry I missed out... As ever, print comes across without sarcasm or irony, and people think I'm a genuine big head. This was supposed to be a half baked satire on the fact that WE all take our music from the same place so WE always end up fighting over the same tunes... This opens the door for people to be a little more innvoative, rather than being elitist and refusing to give away their hot dancefloor tips... This was my way of being a little less defensive and a little more frugal, I think it would have been far more arrogant to sit on my prized tracks and refuse to tell people where I found them... But on the other hand, if I took the approach of posting music of a slightly more varied pallette, then perhaps myself and other warm up DJs would have better resource available to do the job. But then, we could all just buy our music instead I suppose, which I don't discourage!

actually, i assumed it was ACTUALLY you djing everytime i was at a club.

come to think of it, given my last few club outings, it probably WAS you.

Bon, plutôt que de se lancer dans un échange de longue durée autour de "nan 15", "nan 16", je précise que moi je parle de Cassius (cf. 15 again) et non des remixeurs.

C'est ce qu'on appelle une blague qui tombe à l'eau.

we don't think it is reasonable to spend hundreds thousands dollars to buy a decorating watch. you can use those money to invest in other industry which will return you good profit.
here you just need to spend 100-200 dollars to buy a replica rolex watches.
Rolex Daytona replica watches are made by the rating 1:1 according to the original watches, and you can't distinguish the original and the fake watches when you look at the surface of the watches.
